Penny's background is in sales, marketing and journalism, prior to establishing her own business in 1983.   She shares her time between Jersey and France. David having died, Penny Bensted also a Director of R J Rotables, has now taken on the role of principal of the company.

David commenced his career in insurance, specialising in liability and products liability sectors. After disposing of his interest in a U.K. insurance broking partnership, David expanded his market-research and business consultancy involvement.  His interest in aviation stemmed from both recreational flying - gliders and PPL - and a family R.A.F. background.  David grew up in Wales and Malaysia but in later life moved to Jersey and France to pursue his business interests.  He particularly appreciated Brittany because it offered him the security of being even-handed in his  relations with the English and the French due to  the common language and heritage of the Breton and Welsh cultures!  There is more detailed information about David on the Family Aviation Page
